	Name: Ferdiansyah Mansyur Age: 12 Sex: Male Area: CIPINANG BESAR SELATAN
"I would like to help father to gather as much used-nails so that I could continue going to school, and get higher education. After graduating from school, I dream myself working in an office," Dian once said to his mother. Dian, or Ferdiansyah, is the eldest of three. His father, Mansyur, is a used-nail gatherer around Jakarta. He sells these used-nails to a second-hand dealer. His mother, Komariyah, is a street-singer, who has to help support her family as she has to raise Dian's 2 other sisters, Dwi Ajeng Triani, and Nia Audina. They live in a 3X4 meter square semi-permanent house in Kampung Jembatan area, Cipinang Besar Selatan. They rent the house - or room, rather - for Rp 70.000,- per month. Moreover, when rainy season comes, their house is very often flooded. 12-year old Dian sometimes has to accompany his mother singing on the street. Although he knows that he is not supposed to work on the street, he also realizes that his parents' income is not sufficient to support all five of them. Dian joined ISCO' programs since pre-school in 1999. He is now in his fifth grade in Public School SDN 013 Cipinang Besar Selatan. Dian is a very bright kid, with a lot of ambitions and dreams. This can be seen from his drawings. Dian is very keen in drawing, and seems to have the talents. In 2000, when he was still in his second grade, he won the ISCO greeting card competition. Then, he won the first prize in the drawing competition held by the Asian Development Bank in July 2002. In January 2003, Dian won another drawing competition held by ISCO. Dian enjoys drawing, because he can express his feelings and aspirations through it. Dian is very lucky to have such supportive parents - mother especially -, who understand the importance of education for their children's future. Dian maintains good school performance records, since first grade.

	Name: Dhira Age:10 Sex: Female Area: MANGGARAI
Dhira is the second child of Mulyadi and Suparsih, who live in Manggarai area, and have a total of four children. Dhira is a smart kid, with an outstanding performance at school. She joined ISCO's program since she was still in pre-school. Now she is in her fifth grade at Public School SDN 011 Manggarai, and has always been in the top 3 rankings since her third grade primary school. Dhira is an easy going child who can communicate well with almost everybody. She is also very talented in poetry. She reads poems very expressively, and she won a poetry-reading competition at Children Activity House in 2003. Dhira's other hobby is drawing. In the Activity House, she won the first prize of ISCO's 2002 drawing competition. Recently she won another drawing competition held by Yayasan Trisula Perwari, an NGO located in West Jakarta area.

	Name: Eko Age: 9 Sex: Male Area: KAMPUNG GEGE - KEBON JERUK
Eko Andrianto was born in Wonogiri, Central Java on September 8, 1995. His father, Kasirin, is a coolie and his mother, Wanti, is a wash-coolie. Eko is an only child. He goes to Public School SDN 007 Tanjung Duren Selatan, accompanied by his mother, because the school is quite far from where he lives, and he has to cross a very busy road. Eko is an intelligent kid, and he has always been in first or second place in his class for his school performance. He is an active boy and has a lot of determination.

	Name: Eka Age: 8 Sex: Female Area: KAMPUNG LIO - DEPOK
Eka, is the first daughter of Sutaryo and Juwarti. Her father drives a truck that delivers building materials on a daily basis. Her mother sells homemade cookies door-to-door around Kampung Lio area. Eka helps to mine her little sister at home, while her mother is away. Compared to other children of her age in her neighborhood, Eka is an assertive child. She is full of curiosity, energy, enthusiasm and creativity. She has a natural talent in music and dance. One of her favorite traditional music and dance is Indian. She does not go to a special class, but she just imitates from Television programs. Eka is now in her third grade, of Public School SDN Depok Jaya II. She is proud to be in enrolled in that school, since it is one of the best schools around. Eka is presently at third ranking in her class.
