AWARDS

On May 5, 2002, The Asian Development Bank held a children-drawing competition, addressed specifically for street children, in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta. The theme is this competition is “IF I HAVE THE CHANCE”.

ISCO was invited to include some of the children to join the competition. Of course we were not sure whether our children will be able to draw properly, looking at their background, and the minimum opportunity to even realize their own talents.

So, we held an internal competition in each program area, to see whether some of these children have high interest in drawing. Surprisingly, we did find some wonderful drawings.

The next step is to give them a little PUSH, so that they feel confident that they can do it in front of public. ISCO has theme is : WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO BE WHEN I GROW UP

We registered 10 children to join the competition, and .... much to our surprise, 4 of them won the prizes.

They were :

  • Muhammad Sandy (Cipinang Besar Selatan)
  • Nesya Ardela (Kampung Gege)
  • Lilis Handayanai (Kampung Lio, Depok)
  • Ferdiansyah Mansyur (Cipinang Besar Selatan)
